I attend the latest screenings for movies with the same excitement many people show towards "March Madness" "The Super bowl" and "Opening Day." right now I wait and count the days for "The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy" "Sahara" and "Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith."

What I hope is to uncover a movie that is more than the sum of it's parts. to dig up a gem in an environment that is filled with many budget bulging mediocre films. I look for the movies like "She's The One" "When Harry Met Sally" "Groundhog Day" or the Stephen spielberg pictures that are feel good and light. I despise movies like "The Hulk" that have technically stunning visual effects but are soft to non existent in the realm of a story.

If someone say me down and asked me to list my favorite movies, it would be had to do. a lot rests upon my mood, the genre of film I want to watch on any given day as well as sometimes the weather outside. For instance, when it's sunny out, it's not the kind of time to watch a movie like "Twister." There are some movies that are better on Gray days than on sunny days. There are movies that are better watched at night than in the daytime.

There are movies that are better for times when I want something light versus something heavy. I suppose it could be said that watching a movie is often more like food choice than simply a choice in say...a grade of gasoline.

Contrary to popular belief though, my live of movies does not translate into the love of the Oscars. to make that event more palatable, they need to make it last an hour , make it live, and allow people to text vote their favorite actor. Then it would be all based on public acclaim rather than political correctness.

After directing the movie "Zombie Fish" Al Davis was floored at the swiftness by which the movie made it to video.
