Jim Gleeson was born on November 3, 1966 in Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. A true native of Georgia, his parents hailed from New York, so there was a bit of a mixture of cultures as he grew up.

After giving birth to Jim, they moved back up to New York, leaving him homeless and orphaned.
