Thank you for taking the time to come and visit my web site. I am Jim Gleeson (no relation to Jackie).
The being said, I am a writer/artist with a definite leaning towards the bizarre, surreal, and the humorous. So, if you are looking for a web site concerning the joys of stamp collecting or watching paint dry during a marathon of the US Open on the Golf channel, you're out of luck. The two main reasons I created this site follow.
ART
This is a place where I display my creations. Though some may argue whether what I do is in fact "art." I'm not into folk art, if that's what your thinking, You won't see any tinfoil poodles on this site, or kleenex shaped as Mount Rushmore. I like to term my art as "Artoonistic." It's like a cartoon, only with a little more depth. Though some cartoonists may beg to differ.
The Art section includes designs for Greeting Cards, CD Covers, a Children's book, Buttons and Pins, Drawings, Digital Art, and finally miscellaneous art.
WRITING
Writing is a BIG part of my life as well. I graduated from college with a Bachelor's Degree in English and ever since the early days of grade school I have enjoyed the creative process of writing. Whether it is in regards to writing the "Great American Novel" to sharing my rants on how long it is polite to say "Happy New Year."
On this site there are parts of novels, a couple short stories, some poetry, and a link to my blog site. Naturally this site is always in a a state of evolution so please check back whenever you get a chance.
PERSONAL
Since this site is actually paid for and maintained by me, I have added this for those interested on the less professional side of my life.
This includes personal interests. To give you an idea, if my life were given jeopardy categories they would be as follows. The mac, science fiction, dancing, the seventies, music, books, and movies
So All right, I lied about the scanning and ice fishing bit, but you get the idea.
RESUME
This of course is where my resume is located. I have a number of different formats that it can be viewed in as well as the special seventies style for those of you employers who are looking for something a little bit different.
So please take some time, take a look around, get a feel for this place. You have just taken your very first steps into a very strange world.
There is also a chance more categories may be added as time permits so please every so often return. You are welcome to contact me at jimgleeson@mac.com or comment on my blog.

• As Mac OS X 10.4 approaches its release date, it is being hailed as one of the most anticipated upgrades of the Mac Software. I wonder if like Halo 2, people take off work...
